YouTube / Google API
Hesketodrome is a personal desktop tool that uploads episodes of the השבוע במזרח התיכון podcast to its YouTube channel. It uses YouTube API Services. This section describes what it does with Google user data.
What data it accesses
With the scopes youtube.upload and youtube.force-ssl, the tool accesses:
- the identity of the signed-in YouTube channel (to confirm it uploads to the right channel);
- video uploads, including titles, descriptions and publication scheduling;
- video thumbnails.
How the data is stored
The OAuth token is stored only on the owner’s computer. It is never sent to any server other than Google’s. Video files and metadata go directly from that computer to YouTube.
Sharing
The data is not shared, sold or transferred to anyone. The tool has no analytics, no advertising and no tracking.
Revoking access
You can revoke the tool’s access to your Google account at any time at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Google API Services User Data Policy
Hesketodrome’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
YouTube terms
By using a YouTube channel with this tool, you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. Google’s handling of your data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
